Terms of Service

1. Who we are
SportSnip is run by DCD & Sons Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 15240422). Our registered office is 24 Picton House, Hussar Court, Waterlooville, Hampshire, PO7 7SQ, UK. “We”, “us” and “our” mean DCD & Sons Ltd. You can contact us at support@sportsnip.com.
These terms apply whenever you use SportSnip at www.sportsnip.com. By signing in or creating an account, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use SportSnip.
2. What SportSnip does
A club or organisation uploads its match video, plus the official match sheet if it has one. SportSnip cuts the video into short clips of key moments, such as scores, kicks and cards. Our team checks them before they are released to the club.
The club can then:
- confirm or correct clips;
- download them in landscape, vertical and square formats;
- add its brand kit;
- make reels;
- see season stats per player.
3. Who can use SportSnip
- Clubs and organisations only. SportSnip is for sports clubs and organisations, not individuals. Each account belongs to one club or organisation. The person using it confirms they are allowed to act for that club or organisation and to accept these terms on its behalf.
- 18 and over. Account holders must be at least 18.
- Invite only. For now, you can only join if a club or SportSnip invites you. Invites expire after 3 days.
4. Your account
- Signing in: you sign in with an email and password, or with Google.
- Keep your sign-in details safe and don't share them.
- Two-step sign-in is optional for club accounts, and we recommend turning it on. It is required for SportSnip staff.
- Tell us straight away at support@sportsnip.com if you think someone else has used your account.
- Your club is responsible for what happens under its accounts, including who it invites.
5. Your content and rights
Your confirmation for every game. Each time you upload a game, you confirm that you, or your club, either:
- own the rights to the footage and the match sheet; or
- have permission from whoever does to have it made into clips and to use those clips.
The same applies to everything in your brand kit: logos, sponsor logos, intros and outros.
People in the footage. You are responsible for having any permissions or consents needed for the people shown in your footage, including players under 18, as your club's own safeguarding and privacy rules require.
You keep ownership. Your club keeps ownership of its footage, match sheets, brand kit and clips. You give us a licence to store, process and show this content only so that we can provide SportSnip to you. This licence ends when the content is deleted (see section 9).
Improving SportSnip. We use the corrections clubs make, and anonymised data that doesn't identify anyone, to improve how SportSnip finds and labels moments. We don't use your clips or footage for anything other than providing the service to your club.
Games without a match sheet. You can upload a game without a match sheet, but accuracy will be lower:
- there are no player names;
- scores, cards and times come from the video only.
You accept that when you choose to upload without a sheet.
6. Acceptable use
You must not:
- upload footage, sheets or brand files you don't have the rights to;
- upload or share anything unlawful, abusive, hateful or infringing;
- try to break, overload, copy, reverse-engineer or get around the security of SportSnip;
- access other clubs' content, or use SportSnip to harm anyone.
We may remove content that breaks these rules.
7. Sharing links
“Share outside club” creates a link that works for 7 days. Anyone with the link can see what it points to. Your club is responsible for what it shares and who it shares it with.
8. Accuracy of clips and stats
Clips are made automatically and then checked by our team, but some moments may still be missed or wrong: times, scorers, cards or stats. You can correct clips in SportSnip. We don't guarantee that clips or stats are complete or accurate. Please check clips before you publish them.
9. Keeping and deleting content
- Keep until: each game has a “keep until” setting.
- Deleting a game: your club can delete a game at any time. Its video, match sheet and clips are then removed from our storage, usually within about 10 minutes.
- More detail: our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and which providers we use.
10. Fees
SportSnip is free during the invite-only period. We won't charge your club anything without agreeing prices with you in writing first. When paid plans start, we will update these terms and tell you before any charge applies.
11. Suspending or ending an account
- Your club can stop using SportSnip at any time and ask us to close its account at support@sportsnip.com.
- We may suspend or close an account if it breaks these terms, if we have to by law, or if we stop providing SportSnip. Where we reasonably can, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to download your clips.
12. Our liability
- What we don't exclude: nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit or exclude.
- Business losses: SportSnip is provided for clubs and organisations. We are not liable for loss of profits, revenue, sponsorship, goodwill or data, or for indirect losses.
- The cap: apart from the above, our total liability to your club for everything arising from SportSnip is limited to the fees your club paid us in the 12 months before the claim. If nothing was paid, the limit is £100.
- Service availability: we provide SportSnip “as is” and don't promise it will always be available or free of errors.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll email account holders, or show a notice when you sign in, before it takes effect. If you keep using SportSnip after that, you accept the new terms.
14. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
